I recently came across the Miuccia Prada costume sketches from The Great Gatsby adaptation that is due to hit cinemas this summer so I thought that it was only fitting that I blog about them. I almost screamed with excitement when I first found out that Miuccia Prada was creating the costumes for one of my favorite books. I just love the 1920's era, everything about it excites me, especially the fashion and the fact that Gabrielle Chanel rose to fame in the 1920's! I swear that I should have been born in 1920's Paris! Saying this, I completely believe that there is no one who could design the costumes and capture the essence of the aristocratic characters better than Miuccia, and working with Catherine Martin she has created 40 looks for the star studded cast which includes Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. Below are four of the looks that have been released

I left my heart in Paris
So I spent my 18th birthday in Paris! It was the most amazing experience and I never wanted to leave, but alas I had to come home to the real world! I only went for two days, one of which was reserved purely for shopping surprise surprise. We visited the Eiffel tower, the Louvre, Hotel Costes, Kong (the resaurant that Carrie goes to in sex and the city), Champs-Élysées and all of the other famous shopping streets in Paris! Here are some of the pictures xx

The print
The weather has not been great lately, however warm it may be, it is constantly raining and I am at a loss of what to wear! On Saturday we finally had a dry day so I decided to take full advantage and wear my newest purchase for a little shopping trip with my mum. I have lusted after a pair of Isabel Marant snake print pants for such a long time but they are no where to be found, but I did come across these lovely Zara ones last week! They are a lovely mix of colours and are perfect to wear on warm but not hot days with sandals. xx

Style crush
I stumbled upon Louise Hay on instagram a few months ago and have been hooked on her posts ever since. Her sense of style is insane (and she seems to love Zara as much as me!). The way she puts unexpected pieces together is just so inspiring. Check out her blog: louhayhay.tumblr.com I promise you will not regret it! xx
Marant it up
I am super exited, even as I type this I cannot stop smiling because this is the post where I finally get to say that I am now a proud owner of a pair of Isabel Marant Betty sneakers in black!! I have been searching high and low for any pair of Marant's that I could get my hands on and it just so happens that these were the last in my sizes, It was meant to be! They go with absolutely everything and have become a wardrobe stable since the first time they met my feet. Here are a few looks I have tried put. Sorry for the amount of black but the weather has been hideous! xx (Click below to read more)

Getaway
I have been sunning it up in Tenerife with my best friend Kyra and her mum and dad (or my second family as I like to call them). The weather was amazing and sunny, we had the best time and never wanted to leave. It was so lovely and much needed to getaway for the week , and to get a tan. Now I am back in damp, grey England, I feel like I have withdrawal symptoms from the sun! Anyway I have some pictures to share with you. xx (Click below to read more)
