I left my heart in Paris

So I spent my 18th birthday in Paris! It was the most amazing experience and I never wanted to leave, but alas I had to come home to the real world! I only went for two days, one of which was reserved purely for shopping surprise surprise. We visited the Eiffel tower, the Louvre, Hotel Costes, Kong (the resaurant that Carrie goes to in sex and the city), Champs-Élysées and all of the other famous shopping streets in Paris!  Here are some of the pictures xx

Diary of a working girl

I am really enjoying working with the designer clothing and all the lovely people. I have already mentally purchased half of the store! I especially love these Tye die Paige jeans, they are not my usual style however there is something about them that I am just drawn to. Top of my list at the minute! Here is what I wore for my first day

The print

The weather has not been great lately, however warm it may be, it is constantly raining and I am at a loss of what to wear! On Saturday we finally had a dry day so I decided to take full advantage and wear my newest purchase for a little shopping trip with my mum. I have lusted after a pair of Isabel Marant snake print pants for such a long time but they are no where to be found, but I did come across these lovely Zara ones last week! They are a lovely mix of colours and are perfect to wear on warm but not hot days with sandals. xx

Style crush

I stumbled upon Louise Hay on instagram a few months ago and have been hooked on her posts ever since. Her sense of style is insane (and she seems to love Zara as much as me!). The way she puts unexpected pieces together is just so inspiring. Check out her blog: louhayhay.tumblr.com I promise you will not regret it! xx

Marant it up

I am super exited, even as I type this I cannot stop smiling because this is the post where I finally get to say that I am now a proud owner of a pair of Isabel Marant Betty sneakers in black!! I have been searching high and low for any pair of Marant's that I could get my hands on and it just so happens that these were the last in my sizes, It was meant to be! They go with absolutely everything and have become a wardrobe stable since the first time they met my feet. Here are a few looks I have tried put. Sorry for the amount of black but the weather has been hideous! xx  (Click below to read more)

Getaway

I have been sunning it up in Tenerife with my best friend Kyra and her mum and dad (or my second family as I like to call them). The weather was amazing and sunny, we had the best time and never wanted to leave. It was so lovely and much needed to getaway for the week , and to get a tan. Now I am back in damp, grey England, I feel like I have withdrawal symptoms from the sun! Anyway I have some pictures to share with you.  xx  (Click below to read more)

The wannabe Dries pants

I have found my new favorite item of clothing (besides my leather trousers obviously), my new dip dyed jeans. Notice how similar they are to the Dries Van Noten ones that are proving very popular this season, well mine are from Zara!

I have been wearing mine non stop lately. There are so many different ways in which you can create outfits with these jeans, they are so versatile. I also think that they look a lot better as boyfriend jeans and I wanted mine to be fairly baggy, so I got the size up. I have worn them with a black jumper and studded loafers, a plain white t-shirt with a gold necklace and sandals when the weather was warmer and I have also worn them with a denim shirt, I don't usually think that I can pull of the double denim look however one morning I just decided to try something different and it actually worked well with a few accessories.

Insta-style

I realise that I have been neglecting my blog lately, however there is a very valid explanation behind this. I have had my exams for the past few weeks which means I have been working non-stop to meet deadlines. I am so exited at the minute, as a I have now completely finished my first year of sixth form and I have decided not to carry on next year, I am starting a fashion course in September. I am literally dying to start it now, there is nothing else that I could see myself doing other than fashion, there are no other options for me. I have known this since the age of 10 when me and my best friend made our very own fashion magazine!

So anyway, as I haven't posted much in the past few weeks I have decided to share the pictures from my instagram, hopefully this will give you a little insight into my life in the past few weeks.

Russian muse

I have decided to dedicate this post to two of my style icons. Natasha Goldenberg and Aziza Azim. I would defiantly say that I get the most part of my inspiration from them, my thought process when I get dressed in the morning tends to factor their style into what I wear. I love the way that they put different items together and make it work so well. I have no better way to describe their style than downtown chic. I adore the Isabel Marant sneakers paired with Chanel or Celine handbags and Marni necklaces. I am yet to see either of them in an outfit that I do not like! I have selected a couple of my favourites to share with you

Mulberry and swirls

It can either take me the total of 30 seconds to decide what to wear or it can take me hours. Sometimes I have days where I feel like I have absolutely nothing to wear but today I knew exactly which look I wanted and what accessories it should be paired with. I usually detest designer 'logos' on clothing or bags however I adore this shirt. I just love the colours and pattern, even if it the Paul Smith trade mark. I paired it with my trusty black Victoria Beckham jeans and Chelsea boots. This is my favorite handbag, it took forever to get because it seemed to sold out in every store! It was rather chilly today as well so I have put on my lovely River Island coat, I normally never see anything I like this store however when I saw this coat I just had to have it!

Product

I have decided to give myself a pamper day today. Dr Hauschka products seem like a god send when my skin is in need of some tlc. I am using the clay mask and all the cleansing/moisturising essentials, which are quite remarkable for getting my skin back to normal after wearing a tad more make-up than usual.

Electric Blue

I am known for always wearing black so I decided it was time dig out some things from my summer wardrobe as the weather is getting better and I found these bright blue trousers. I also seem to choose silk shirts quite frequently, I have about 3. They go with pretty much anything you can think of and make any outfit look instantly chic. I have taken inspiration from Alexander Wang today and gone for a sport luxe outfit. I am also wearing a Yves Saint Laurent downtown bag. I absolutely love it and it is such a timeless piece as it is so versatile

J'adore Stella

Ok, so I am drifting a little to the obsessive side over the Stella McCartney collection. The dresses that she debuted at Paris fashion week last month are just incredible. I think the reason I am so drawn to this collection is that it is so uncomplicated yet the pieces have a somewhat athletic element to them. This could all be explained by the fact the Stella McCartney is the chosen designer for the British Olympic team in this years games. Every season without fail she comes out with effortless, sophisticated pieces that are so wearable. The patterns and shapes of this seasons collection are so unique and look almost inspired by origami. Stella was quoted "Summer! and a real celebration of energy" when she was asked what her summer 2012 collection was about and who can question this answer when you look at the clothing! Stella's new collection can be purchased on net-a-porter now!

My favourite piece has to be the Ray printed crepe jacket. It is so versatile and would be an excellent edition to any wardrobe.

Signs of Spring

As the weather has been so nice these past few days I have been enjoying the sun in my Ray Ban's. It feels great to finally bring out the sunglasses even if it is just for a few days. For school I tend to wear things that are comfortable, however saying that you would never catch me in a pair of  tracksuit bottoms or a velour Juicy Couture tracksuit. Some things are just better left for lounging around the house. Today I chose a pair of grey Current/Elliott jeans and a oversized silk shirt. I added a splash of colour with my red Miu Miu Matelassé. Always my go to bag if my outfit is fairly simple.

I always wear gold or rose gold jewellery with the exception of the occasional Tiffany necklace. This is simply because I prefer the way it compliments my skin tone.

Leather and Silk

So I went to a family event one Sunday and I was at a loss of what to wear. I am one of those people who have an entire wardrobe full of clothes and end up wearing pretty much the same or similar things everyday. I have to admit my wardrobe staple is leather pants and a silk shirt. Granted I wear them different ways and with many different accessories but it is still leather pants and a silk shirt. So I decided to change it up slightly. I went for cropped leather trousers and a silk shirt with appliqué down the front. I also dug out my Chanel bag. My favourite piece in my entire wardrobe because it is a rare gold one. Oh, and I cant forget about the studded loafers!
